Drop Box

In some Ohio communities, on-site medication drop-off boxes are available at authorized drug take-back locations. These locations are registered with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administraiton (DEA) to safely and securely gather and dispose of unused or expired medicines. If this safe disposal option is available in your community, a medication drop-off box will be available at a local law enforcement agency or a retail, hospital, or clinic pharmacy.

How do I find a medication drop-off box?

Ohio residents can find a medication drop-off box convenient to their home or work by entering a zip code or address into the  Find a Local Drop-off Box tool.
